Please note: booking a performance through the website is regarded as a request to perform. It does not guarantee a show. The location distance and dates are all considered when the request is recieved and the booker will recieve a confirmation or reason for decline once the request has been reviewed.

By booking any show performance, the booker will provide:

* A parking space

* An area space to perform the show

* A plug socket

* A place to change before and after the show (this can be a bathroom or toilet) or as agreed prior.

* A glass of drinking water (wherever possible) or as agreed prior.

Musical Journeys by Rachel will provide:

* Entertainment for 1 hour

* DBS certification

* Public Liability Insurance

* Sound amplification and music  

* Costumes, backdrop and all props for the show

Musical Journeys may from time to time record performances for social media usage. The care home must inform Musical Journeys if permission and consent is not already in place. The safety, dignity, privacy and wellbeing of residents is of upmost importance so please do let us know where this is not allowed. The care home also has permission to use short clips and photos of the visits made by Musical Journeys on their own social media channels.

There may be times of inclement weather such as heavy snow, floods, winds or extreme heat where there may be a danger to attempt the journey, where this is apparent the shows will be rescheduled to an alternative date suitable for both parties. When it is not possible for a show to commence due to illness from either party there should be a reasonable amount of notice to communicate that the show will not proceed, this is usually as much time as possible, at very least 24 hours. This will then be rescheduled at a time when either party has recovered. 

Rachel is an actor as well as a performer and it is to be anticipated that there may be occasions when she will not be able to commit to a performance date due to a change in filming commitments, where this is the case, she will give as much notice as possible and will arrange for an alternative date that is suitable for the Manager or coordinator at the location. In some cases, another entertainer instead of Rachel will be sent but only when agreed with the booker beforehand.

In circumstances where a show must be cancelled all efforts will be made to reschedule but if no alternative date can be made the show in question may have to be substituted for an alternative show of similar length and calibre.

Any offer or bulk buy rate is a preferred rate and applies to the full agreed booking package. If a date is cancelled, the session can be rescheduled subject to availability, otherwise the original invoice remains payable. Reasonable reminders will also be made in advance of the shows by Musical Journeys by way of reminder emails, calendar invites or phone calls to the location.
